Black Ops 2 has inevitably been one of the most hyped up games again this year already breaking pre-order sales records world-wide. Since World at War Zombie mode has become a regular feature in Treyarch’s games and this year they will be re-building Black Ops 2′s Zombie mode from the ground up. Here is an idea of what will be in store for us this November when we start trying to survive wave after wave of relentless zombies.

If you have never played Zombie Mode in Black Ops the basic concept is you are thrown into a level with up to three other players and you try to survive as long as you can against the flesh-eating monsters. This year Treyarch are adding multiple new upgrades to their zombie game mode. I have to admit there are some very exciting additions. The big one is a competitive zombie mode where two teams of four people try to survive longer than each other against the zombies. Now it’s not clear yet whether or not you will be able to hurt the other team as you play but I certainly hope you can. This is one of two competitive modes Treyarch’s Daniel Suarez talked about in a recent interview with BebopVox TV at E3. He also mentioned a Zombie Wager match mode where players will be tasked with certain objectives during the game. For example you could be tasked with killing a certain amount of zombies in a limited amount of time.

These additions are sure to create great competition in the Zombie Mode community and only add to a game we are all hoping won’t disappoint. There is also mention of 8 player co-op which can only mean bigger maps and more zombies hoardes for us to test our zombie survival skills against. There are sure to be more details released in the coming months about Black Ops 2 and hopefully they are all as exciting as these. Black Ops 2 is to be released November 11th 2012.
